New UX/UI Trends That Top Designers Are Switching To!
1. Screens are becoming more three-dimensional and more explorable.
Visual effects that create immersion are moving from decoration to core interaction.
- Cinematic 3D carousels and cards combine rotation, perspective, and scroll response to add depth to product showcases
- Phantom Gallery provides an experience of freely exploring content like an infinite canvas
- WebGL and AI coding tools are lowering the barrier to implementing complex spatial interactions
- Liquid Glass navigation responds flexibly to screen hierarchy with transparent floating UI and a bottom menu that changes size
- Shader effects express the state of buttons and cards more richly through subtle movements of particles, light, and gradients
2. Motion is becoming closer to feedback than decoration.
Movement is expanding into an interface language that conveys brand personality and usage state.
- As the motion production environment becomes easier, it becomes easier to connect mascot animation and gamification to product flows
- Short transitions and response animations naturally guide users through the results of their actions and the next steps
- On screenless devices, haptics and voice feedback play a larger role than visual effects
- Smart rings, AI glasses, and fitness bands need to be designed from the start around when and through which sense information is delivered
3. New form factors and ways of working are changing the basis for layouts.
Continuity across multiple devices and implementation environments is becoming more important than a single fixed screen.
- Devices whose unfolded state changes dramatically, such as passport-style foldables, need both mobile and tablet layouts to be considered
- Rather than simply increasing screen size, an approach is needed that reconfigures information density and interaction positions by state
- The flow of reflecting a design organized in Figma directly into an existing codebase with Claude Code shortens handoff time
- Alternative tools such as Penpot and Brilliant present other options: open-source collaboration and AI-centered production methods
4. Trends lead to product improvement when there are criteria for applying them.
Before introducing new expressions, it is necessary to check the product’s purpose and usage conditions together.
- 3D, shaders, and infinite galleries create a strong impression, but performance, accessibility, and clarity of navigation must also be reviewed together
- Motion and floating UI should be used within the scope that helps user attention and adjusted so they do not compete with core information
- In design reviews, compare problem-solving effectiveness with implementation and maintenance costs rather than whether something is trendy
- It is good to use this as a reference for distinguishing what to keep and what to experiment with in the next mockup
