Design Systems' Next Reader Isn't Human

Tools are moving the same way

DesignSystems.one, registered this week, compares production design systems through an "AI applicability" lens, and the reason daisyUI insists on semantic classes is ultimately code that both humans and LLMs can read.

Articles on another axis this week show how that lever plays out in careers. One designer went from leading one project to six after adopting AI, and PDE, a role that closes design and development single-handedly, is now discussed with real salaries. Conversely, AI Can Draw Interfaces, but Can It Design? points out that as production gets cheaper, the bottleneck moves from "making" to "judgment and verification."
