Designers are overlooked by clients or founders not because they lack design skill, but because they fail to communicate in business language. A designer’s real role is not simply to create beautiful deliverables, but to solve business problems and demonstrate their value.

1. The Language Barrier Between Designers and Founders

• Designer language: Visual elements such as spacing, alignment, color contrast, and typography.
• Founder language: Churn, new-user conversion, business performance, and revenue.
• Problem: When designers explain only aesthetic details, founders who need to solve business problems become bored and disengaged.
